From Paul Kositzka:
Hope this finds you well and happy. Here's a photo of our family at one of our bi-annual beach trips. This one was at Corolla, Outer Banks, NC. We're a pack of water rats! This captures 11 of our 12 grand kids. The second one is yours truly in Key West when we ran away from some cold weather.
Best regards to all,
PK

An update from Bill Pfeif:
It is always nice to hear from you and the BCHS news. My wife Rene’ and I are considering moving to the panhandle in FL. We have a Duplex in Destin that is available on VRBO as a vacation rental and have been spending time there ourselves as well. We are trying to locate a suitable residence and sell some of our CA properties. CA has become the sink hole for money. Our State Income Tax rate is now 13!/2% and the legislators have gone crazy with new laws that punish any level of success. They are even trying to pass new laws that will tax you if you transfer your real estate proceeds out of the State. Florida is so far one of the best places left to have less government and a wonderful lifestyle.
My three kids have a total of eight children from 7 to 15 and provide lots of events and entertainment. I still have my Real Estate Company as the Bank Foreclosure business is too regular to give up. I have staff that does most of the work and it allows us lots of free time for Golf, Travel, and relaxing. We still have the sailboat in Long Beach and would be glad to entertain any classmates that come West. We live near Yosemite and enjoy that area as well. Come to Ca. before we leave and we have a place for you and others to stay and play..
It’s possible I may be in the area first quarter as I bought a house in York, PA that I need to fix and sell. Hope all is well for the class and spouses or partners of BCHS 1961.
Happy New Year,
Bill
A comment from Kathie Jorgensen:
Great newsletter.
The food at the Italian Restaurant at Sanders is excellent.
Except they don't cook the broccoli enough.
Everything else meets the test.
The garden and work are busy.
And going to the pool for exercise.

An email to Linda Fuhrman from Ed Van Alstyne:
....I can't see you slowing down anytime soon, maybe just doing things that are more fun. I heard a quote from Bill Gates of Microsoft today that I found interesting. He was asked how he managed to be involved in everything and get so much done. He just replied "well I don't mow the lawn" .....I haven't turned 70 yet, I just look old. It doesn't seem fair, I looked so young till I was about 35 that I got asked for proof and then before I knew it they were giving me the senior discount. Stay well.
Ed
An update from Joyce Whitbeck:
All is well here in Delaware. Grandson graduated as Valedictorian and is heading to Villanova in the Fall. I am one of the few people who actually looked forward to turning 70 (my
60's were horrible!). I'm still working full time. My two shelties are therapy dogs
and we visit rehab centers and nursing homes as often as possible......I hope to visit soon.

An update from Bill Drozd:
Just to drop you a note to let you know that I have moved. My new address is East Greenbush, NY. I sold my home on Kenwood Ave that Jan and I purchased in 1967. Was not the same living there since Jan passed in 2007. I should be all moved by the end of January.
